She beat her doubles partner in straight sets 6-3 7-5 without being breaked. Tonight she had a very tough fight against no. 5 seed Agnieszka Radwanska to reach the semi-finals. She won the first set in the tie-break after 80 minutes of fighting just to lose the second set 2-6, but started great in the deciding set with a double-break to an early 4-1 lead and closed the set 6-2.

Next opponent in the semi-finals is either Maria Sharapova or Serena Williams who play in the forth quarterfinal tonight.

The city of Wuhan leadership and IMG announced that on December 17-18, 2011, Li Na will headline a special two-day tennis extravaganza in Wuhan, "Li Na & Friends", alongside new rival and rising star, Sabine Lisicki, who defeated Li in a thrilling contest at Wimbledon, as well as 14-time Grand Slam singles champion Pete Sampras and tennis heartthrob Carlos Moya, who like the hometown hero also owns a Roland Garros singles crown.

After fighting off two match points to defeat Li at Wimbledon, Germany's Lisicki is eagerly anticipating the exhibition. "I am delighted to have been included in the "Li Na & Friends" event. Li Na and I had one of the best quality matches of Wimbledon 2011 and it is always a pleasure to play a champion -- especially a reigning Grand Slam Champion like Li Na who is so friendly and professional, something all of China should be very proud of. To play singles and doubles in an event that also includes the great Pete Sampras will be an amazing experience. I understand we can expect thousands of people and a fantastic atmosphere and I really look forward to seeing you all in China -- and maybe even doing a little shopping, possibly with a little help from Li Na, at the end of the year!"

Sabine Lisicki stuns crowd in Wimbledon

Sabine Lisickis stuns as she reached Wimbledon 2011 semi-finals. On her way there she beat no. 3 seed Na Li and no. 9 seed Marion Bartoli until she got stopped by no. 5 seed Maria Sharapova in two close sets. She entered the tournament with a wild-card which she got after reaching quarter-finals in 2009 and winning the Birmingham title three weeks ago - Sabine made sure to use that wild-card well and will be seeded in US Open after this stunning run. The crowd loved her.

In doubles, along with Samantha Stosur, Sabine reached the Wimbledon 2011 finals where they got stopped by no. 2 seeds and now Wimbledon doubles champions Peschke/Srebotnik after beating no. 1 seeds King/Shedova along their way to the finals.
